KUALA LUMPUR: A record 817 students from Tamil schools nationwide scored 7As in this year's Primary School Achievement Test (UPSR), MIC president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu said.

This, he added, was an improvement over the 725 students who obtained 7As last year, and congratulated the students for their achievement.

He attributed their success to their hard work and their parents, as well as the strategy implemented by the MIC through the Maju Institute of Educational Development (MIED).

'MIED has been printing and distributing UPSR revision books to Tamil school students every year for the past nine years.
